HellFire End Castillo's Streak Wednesday, July 3rd, 2058 It was the best of both worlds for the Hell HellFire today at Yonkers Grounds, as they defeated the Tulsa Dust Devils 5-1 and also snapped Ricardo Castillo's 27-game hitting streak. The 21-year-old Tulsa center fielder failed to get a hit in 2 at-bats. "Nothing personal against Castillo, we just wanted to win the game," said HellFire skipper . "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing." When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Castillo frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won." Castillo's current batting average stands at .316 and he has chalked up 6 home runs and 56 RBIs. |
