Carney Belts Bunch of Base Hits Monday, July 2nd, 2057 Bob Carney of the Pickers was unstoppable in today's 9-8 victory over the Jackson Hole Bucks at Lemurs Ballpark. He battered them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Pickle center fielder after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will." Bob Carney tripled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and hit a three-run triple in the 9th.
