Ocampo Smacks 5 Hits for Seagulls
Friday, July 14th , 2073
The Brainerd Seagulls stopped the Granville Greyhounds by a score of 14-5 at Spears Ballpark, with the lion's share of the credit going to first baseman Albert Ocampo. The 24-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.
"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Ocampo said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."
Ocampo did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Greyhounds.
"Not much that I can say," offered Granville manager . "He just hammered the heck out of us."
Albert Ocampo singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Ken Pérez in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Ken Pérez in the 9th.
This season, Ocampo has 15 home runs and a .307 batting average.
