Un-four-gettable: Miller Hits for Cycle
Saturday, July 15th , 2073
At Stealers Ballpark, Tom Miller led Olympic to a win, 4-3, over the Brainerd Seagulls by hitting for the cycle, one of baseball's more difficult feats.
"Usually the triple is the hardest one to get, but I was most worried about the homer today because the ball wasn't carrying," Miller said later. "When I took it deep, I was expecting the ball to die on the warning track, so it was sweet seeing the ump give me the signal to circle the bases."
In addition to going 4-for-5, Miller chalked up 1 RBI and scored 2 runs in an exceptional performance.
Tom Miller doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off James Rattray in the 7th and tripled in the 9th.
Miller on the season is batting .290 with 4 home runs. His totals include 35 RBIs and 30 runs scored. He has played in 59 games.
