Pickers Blank Crab Apple, Hasegawa Winner Friday, August 17th, 2057 Naonobu Hasegawa led the Pickle Pickers to a 13-0 shutout victory over the Crab Apple Cove at Lemurs Ballpark today. "My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus," Hasegawa recalled later. "He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location." Hasegawa yielded 4 hits and had 3 strikeouts and 3 walks in the standout performance. "I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," Crab Apple manager said. "And that's just about the whole secret to pitching." To date this season Hasegawa sports a 7-12 mark with a 5.32 ERA in 25 starting assignments.
