New England 's Ruíz ATL #1 Batter in August Monday, September 22nd, 2059 Luis Miguel Ruíz is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the New England third baseman joined that select company when the Atlantic League announced the results of August's voting. Ruíz totaled 23 hits, 8 walks, 9 home runs, 18 RBIs and 13 runs scored last month to put together a .397 batting average and .485 on-base percentage. So far this season Ruíz has 23 home runs and a .243 batting average. |
