Great Stroke: Kenny Gets 5 Hits Thursday, July 14th , 2067 Today at Field of the Champs, Jon Kenny put on an impressive display. The Jackson Hole Bucks right fielder tagged Lexington pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but his teammates were unable to capitalize on the spree and lost the game to the Lexington Platinum by the score of 9-8. "The loss takes some of the joy out of it, but I'll take it," Kenny said. "5-for-5 ain't bad in any league." Despite the terrific performance, the Bucks manager was unwilling to offer the right fielder much praise, saying the "whole roster" is held accountable for losses. "Jon told me 'Coach, I had 5 hits' and I said 'Well that's great, but it looks like we needed one more from you,'" manager said. Jon Kenny singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Colm Leech in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. On the year Kenny has hit .299 with 6 home runs, 20 RBIs and scored 19 runs. View Boxscore |
