Seagulls Hernández Gone for Year Monday, July 11th , 2072 When Luis Hernández was hurt against the Summit County Soap Box Derby, the Brainerd Seagulls were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 20-year-old reliever suffered a stretched elbow ligament throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Hernández would miss 11-12 months of the season. Hernández has taken the mound for 34 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 0-2 record with a 7.46 ERA. The Brainerd reliever has limited opposing batters to a .321 batting average. |
