This promising rookie catcher for St. Augustine garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 22-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .455 (10-for-22) with 5 home runs and 10 RBIs last week. For the year Martínez is batting .277 with 39 hits and 10 home runs. He has scored 27 times and driven in 24. |
