Monsters Starter Wins PAC Pitching Award Thursday, August 1st, 2058 In July, Blake Bates tore through the Pacifiic League like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 24 years old. The young Lake Champlain starter posted a 4-0 mark and an ERA of 1.85 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 39 innings he collected 29 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .165 average. In 22 starts this season, Bates has recorded 15 wins and absorbed 3 losses. He has pitched 142.2 innings, allowed 105 hits, struck out 99 and has a 2.33 ERA. |
