Tourists Win 2072 Round 3 Tuesday, September 13th , 2072 It was a hard-fought battle for both teams to make it this far. But as the saying goes, "to the victors go the spoils." For the victorious George Town Tourists, that meant the POTD Double A Round 3 trophy. The Tourists took a 9-7 victory over the Wildwood Waves at Louisville Grounds, winning their 1st championship after taking the series 4-2. "We've got grit," said Tourists left fielder Bill Nelson, who was named MVP of the series. "We know how to win when we have to." The new titleholders completed the regular season with a second-place finish in the Atlantic League Northern Division and a 80-40 record. View Boxscore |
