Greyhounds Win Round 2 Monday, September 4th , 2073 The Round 2 didn't live up to the billing from those who thought it would be an all-out battle to the last game. But the Granville Greyhounds are no doubt pleased by the results, as they have knocked out the George Town Tourists 4-1 to advance to the Round 3. "It doesn't matter how you win it, as long as you win it and get yourself moving forward," said Greyhounds left fielder Calvin Porter. "I know a lot of people thought this was going to be a really tight series the whole way through, but we're glad it didn't go right down to the wire." Granville won the final game by a score of 3-1 at Spears Ballpark. Porter was named series MVP after hitting .375 with a .524 on-base percentage. He also had 2 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 6 runs. The Granville Greyhounds don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Sing Sing Songbirds - Minneapolis Mud Hens series. Minneapolis leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
