Hines Grabs ATL Reliever of the Year Award Monday, September 22nd , 2070 Vaughn Hines said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 26 years old. But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Crab Apple Sluggers rising star has won the Atlantic League Reliever of the Year Award for 2070. He captured the award on the strength of his 2.17 ERA over 103.2 innings. He also had 6 saves in 29 relief appearances, 104 strikeouts and only 48 walks. He received 28 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Glenn van Volkenburg of the Crab Apple Sluggers finished second in voting, while Félix Pineda of the Summit County Soap Box Derby finished third.
