Big Day for Ayers: Swats 6 Hits Friday, July 9th , 2077 It was a good day for the Jailbreakers at Jailbreakers Ballpark as they clipped the Pittsburgh Werewolves, 32-7. It was tremendous day for Alex Ayers, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 6-for-6. "I don't know what to call that," the Orlando center fielder told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Alex Ayers hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, walked in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 6th and singled in the 7th.
