Gladiators Francis Booms 3 HRs Monday, August 14th , 2073 Milo Francis of the Gladiators went on a hitting spree at Field of the Werewolves and earned membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He blasted three into the stands in a loss, 11-7, to the Pittsburgh Werewolves. "I'm not happy with the outcome of the game, but it was still a great game for me," Francis said in the clubhouse following the loss. "I have been making solid contact lately, but not getting any lift. Today I got it up in the air and out of the ballpark. I had my home run swing down pat. Got some good pitches to hit, too." The Mont Vernon center fielder did indeed have quite a game, collecting 4 hits in 4 at-bats, 4 RBIs and scoring 4 runs. Milo Francis singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Koki Tanaka in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Koki Tanaka in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Judd Pérez in the 9th. For the year, Francis is batting .350 with 41 hits and 10 home runs. He has scored 22 times and driven in 21. |
