Avon's Vega OBL Star of the Week Monday, July 18th , 2072 It was an extraordinary week for Orlando Vega of the Avon Stampede. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .500, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the Outback League. Last week Vega went 8-for-16, racked up 4 home runs and 10 RBIs and scored 7 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Avon second baseman. So far this season, Vega is hitting .295 with 7 home runs, 20 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He has 23 hits in 78 at-bats and a .404 OBP. |
