League Suspends Ríos and Paillard for Fisticuffs Sunday, July 24th , 2072 After an intense confrontation, both the Victors Felipe Ríos and the Slashers Yohann Paillard were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Mason-Louisville game. Felipe Ríos will miss 5 games, while Yohann Paillard was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Felipe Ríos commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Thus far this year, Ríos is batting .150 with no home runs, 1 RBIs and 5 runs scored. So far this season, Paillard has compiled a 0-4 record with a 8.22 ERA. |
