League Suspends Kelly and Calazzo for Brawl Sunday, July 27th , 2070 If there wasn't a history between Keith Kelly of Bakersfield and Alba Calazzo of Durham, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 3 and 7 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Kelly said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." So far this season Kelly has put up a .228 batting average with 21 hits, 2 home runs and 12 RBIs. This season Calazzo has gone 3-0 with an ERA of 8.50, posting 22 strikeouts in 18 innings. |
