Anderson Has 25-Game Hitting Streak Saturday, July 22nd, 2062 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Bruce Anderson did it again, bashing 4 hits in the contest at Robots Ballpark today. For the last 25 games in a row, the 20-year-old second baseman has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Buffalo Officers beat the St. Louis Robots 11-3 today. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Anderson told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Buffalo clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Bruce Anderson singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. This year Anderson is batting .418 with 51 hits and 4 home runs. He has scored 22 times and has batted in 30 runs. |
