Mathews Chosen #1 Player Monday, August 13th , 2068 What's in a number? In baseball, just about everything. The numbers that Mont Vernon's Kurt Mathews put up last week were the envy of the league, as Mathews came away with Colonial League Player of the Week honors. He belted out 9 hits in 24 at-bats, 4 home runs and 12 RBIs last week as he posted his .375 batting average. So far this year, Mathews is batting .357 with 6 home runs and 15 RBIs. |
