Boyd Hittin' on All Cylinders Saturday, August 1st , 2065 The Hong Kong Phooey were too much for the Mont Vernon Gladiators today, taking a 7-6 win despite the batting heroics of Mont Vernon center fielder Mike Boyd. In a losing effort, Boyd had a monster game, hitting for the cycle. He collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats with 2 RBI. After the game, Boyd said he was "unfazed" by the outcome. "Look, it's baseball," he said. "Best case scenario, you're still going to lose 40 percent of the time. You can't let it get to you." Mike Boyd struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Roberto Vega in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
