Durham Out of Playoff Race Sunday, August 18th , 2075 The Durham Steers season has ultimately ended in disappointment. After staying in the hunt until the final days of the season, Durham has now been officially eliminated from playoff qualification. "We were so close," first baseman Adam Baker said wistfully. The Steers have missed the playoffs 28 times in their 47 years as a POTD Rookie League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2072. In the last 10 seasons, the Steers have made the playoffs 5 times. Durham last won the Round 3 in 2072. |
