Phooey Celebrate Wild Card Win Monday, August 19th , 2075 Those who like late-season drama have no doubt enjoyed watching the Hong Kong Phooey this season. The Colonial League Central Division club today wrapped up a wild card victory, with precious little time to spare in the season. "Better late than never right? I don't think our team ever stopped believing we'd make the playoffs," said first baseman Paul Avery. The team's 37-26 record will see them off to the postseason, with a chance to win the 9th POTD Rookie League championship in franchise history. |
