Johnston Big Deal in Orlando: Hits for Cycle Friday, September 1st , 2073 Chris Johnston did just about everything for the Orlando Jailbreakers -- except win the game. The catcher had a cycle wasted in his club's loss to the Greensboro Gappers. Despite Johnston going 5-for-7 with 2 RBI and 5 runs scored, the Jailbreakers were defeated, 18-17. "The guys feel like they let Chris down," Orlando manager said later. "He did all anyone could ask and we couldn't hold up our end of the bargain." Chris Johnston singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Chris White in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, tripled in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, was hit by a pitch in the 8th, doubled in the 9th and struck out in the 10th.
