At Jailbreakers Ballpark, he made his case to be considered among that group. The 21-year-old catcher hammered 5 hits in 7 chances, though the remarkable effort came even as his Orlando Jailbreakers fell, 18-17, to the Greensboro Gappers. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," Gappers manager told BNN sportswriters after the game. "Thankfully, we were able to do enough elsewhere that Johnston wasn't the difference." Chris Johnston singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Chris White in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, tripled in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, was hit by a pitch in the 8th, doubled in the 9th and struck out in the 10th.
