2072 CNL Rookie Diamond Heater Award Named Wednesday, September 28th , 2072 It was a glorious year for Martin Wilson of the Beloeil Barracudas. He finished the season with 8 victories and only no losses, with an impressive 1.98 ERA. The talented Barracudas pitcher started 11 games and struck out 95 batters in 68.1 innings and won the Colonial League Rookie Diamond Heater Award. "It means a lot," Wilson said. "I hadn't really had a chance to sit down and think about it yet. It feels good right now. I can't really put it into words, but I'm sure later on tonight when I have a chance to sit down with my family and think about it, I'll have some words for it. But right now, I'm just happy that it happened this year." He received 25 first place votes out of a possible 28. António Martínez of the Orlando Jailbreakers finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Greg Young of the Beloeil Barracudas finished third.
