The Michigan Militia racked up a win at Assembly Line Grounds, bumping off the West Island Storm, 6-5. Mark Anthony, who started for Michigan, pitched effectively for his team. Michigan reliever Richard Harris was the winner. His record is now 5-2. Glenn Jordan took the loss. The Militia raised their record to 55-69.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the seventh for Michigan. That's when former first round draft pick Richard Phillips hit a 2-run double off Paul Garza to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"Mark was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Michigan manager Henry Lehrer.
