Bailey Slams 5 Hits for George Town
Even as a kid, Theron Bailey said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Louisville Grounds, Bailey showed how well he learned that lesson.

The 23-year-old second baseman had 5 hits in 6 at-bats for the George Town Tourists, helping his team knock off the Brainerd Seagulls by a score of 15-6.

"They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did."

Theron Bailey singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

Looking at his present stats, Bailey has compiled a .457 batting average in 11 games with a .509 on-base percentage, while hitting 3 home runs and driving in 13 runs.
