Granville shortstop Leon Boyce had a day to remember today, 5-for-6 against the Virgina Beach Breeze at Giraffes Ballpark as the Greyhounds picked up a 12-9 victory.

"He was patient up there today," Granville skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Boyce has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."

Leon Boyce singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jesse Robinson in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI triple in the 8th and flied out in the 10th.

Boyce currently has a .365 batting average with 31 hits, 4 homers, 20 RBIs, 18 runs scored and a .434 OBP.
