Wheeler 5-for-6 Against Bridgetown Tuesday, April 17th , 2074 Doug Wheeler exploded for a barrage of base hits at Swamp Dragons Stadium. The Puerto Vallarta first baseman had a field day in his team's 30-6 triumph over the Bridgetown Buccaneers, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Wheeler must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Doug Wheeler hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th.
