Stewart Cracks 3 HRs for Sonoran Tuesday, June 1st , 2077 It was a good day for the Sonoran Jackrabbits and an exceptional one for Shane Stewart. The 23-year-old left fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Jackrabbits beat the Crab Apple Sluggers , 8-4, at Eagles Ballpark. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Stewart said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 6 runs and smacked 3 hits in 5 at-bats. Shane Stewart hit a two-run home run off Adam Whimster in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Adam Whimster in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Roberto RodrÃguez in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. So far this year, Stewart is hitting .301 with 9 home runs. |
