ATL Awards Best Batter Prize to Correa Monday, May 6th, 2058 Granville's Ángel Correa would not be denied the Atlantic League Player of the Week Award for this past week. His consistent stroke, which produced 10 hits in 16 at-bats and a .625 average, made him the clear favorite to win the honor. "You just go out there and do what you have to do," said Correa, "When I'm up, I try to focus and block everything else out of my mind and have a good at-bat. I'm up there to get a hit or advance a runner, not to get caught up in the emotion of the moment. I hope I can win this award every week." He also tallied 2 home runs, 7 RBIs, and scored 7 runs. This season Correa has banged out 31 hits in 89 at-bats for a .348 average with 7 home runs. He is getting on base at a .464 pace and his totals also include 25 RBIs and 25 runs scored. |
