Starks's Strong Week Earns PAC Trophy Monday, June 21st, 2060 23-year-old Mike Starks made a few Lake Champlain headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Pacifiic League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 15 hits in 24 at-bats to put up a .625 average. Starks collected 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 6 runs. In 2060 Starks has hit at a .393 clip with 95 hits, 8 home runs, 54 RBIs and has scored 34 times. |
