Mud Hens CF Yamada Gets the Cycle Wednesday, April 30th , 2064 Some days everything just falls in place. It all came together for Noriyuki Yamada and the Minneapolis Mud Hens today at Lobsters Ballpark. The Mud Hens went home winners and the center fielder had a 4-for-5 day that included the cycle, a baseball rarity. "He sure was a wrecking ball today," said Minneapolis manager following his club's 15-1 taming of the Bridgetown Buccaneers. Noriyuki Yamada singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ted Morgan in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 6th and flied out in the 7th. For the season Yamada is currently batting .325 with 2 home runs and 17 RBIs. In 20 games he has reached base at a .421 rate and scored 15 runs to date. View Boxscore |
