Rice Batters Tulsa Big Time Sunday, July 1st , 2074 The Monsters whipped the Dust Devils, 7-2, at Emus Stadium and Chris Rice had a big hand in the win. The Monsters left fielder came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Rice and a tough day for Tulsa . "I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." Plan or not, Rice delivered -- 5-for-5 is outstanding in any league. Chris Rice hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Júlio Reyes in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
