Stone Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Tuesday, July 12th , 2067 The Bridgetown Buccaneers may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 11-0 to the Montreal Whiz, but Steven Stone continued to hit like a god. The center fielder collected 1 hit in 3 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Stone is playing great and is on fire right now," Buccaneers manager said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Stone was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Steven Stone singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, struck out in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. Hitting .276 to date, Stone has 2 home runs and 17 RBIs. He has played in 79 games. |
