Year Over for Hawks Atkinson Saturday, July 25th , 2065 A blow for Chris Atkinson today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 5-6 months with bone chips in his elbow. Atkinson suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Hoboken Hawks are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Atkinson's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. Season-to-date, Atkinson has rung up no saves in 18 relief appearances. He has 49 strikeouts and 25 walks in 31.1 innings while registering a 4.60 ERA and a 2-0 won-lost record. |
