Free-for-All Costs Barbosa and Guzmán 8-Game Suspensions Tuesday, August 5th , 2070 Today the league office handed out 8-game suspensions to Juan Barbosa of the Songbirds and Miguel Guzmán of the Hawks for their roles in a benches-clearing skirmish at Riverside Grounds yesterday. The league commissioner said in the statement to both organizations, "This league does not condone fighting and aggressive conduct on the field, thus we had to take action to discourage this behavior in the future." Barbosa is currently batting .304 with 1 home run and 17 RBIs. Thus far this season Guzmán has saved 0 games. His won-lost mark is 1 win and 2 losses with 58 strikeouts in 58 innings, along with a 3.41 ERA. |
