Hunt, Jones Suspended for Fracas Tuesday, August 5th , 2070 After an intense confrontation, both the Waves Ryan Hunt and the HellFire Ron Jones were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Wildwood-Hell game. Ryan Hunt will miss 2 games, while Ron Jones was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Ryan Hunt commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." For the season Hunt is hitting .306, batted in 24 runs with 3 home runs and 38 runs scored. This season Jones has fanned 115 in 130.2 innings and collected a 9-7 record with a 3.51 ERA. |
