Super Swinger -- Green Slams 5 Hits Monday, August 6th , 2068 Tom Green was sizzling at the plate today. The Lake Champlain second baseman blistered the Hell HellFire for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but couldn't prevent his club from falling to a 8-3 defeat. "Green was too tough to get out today," HellFire skipper said in a postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too. But hey, I don't mind if every game somebody gets 5 hits off us, as long as we win." Tom Green singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 9th. So far this season Green is hitting .269 with 15 home runs. View Boxscore |
