Waves Heading to Round 3 Tuesday, September 2nd , 2070 The Round 3 hopes remain strong for the Wildwood Waves. The team tonight eliminated the Lake Champlain Monsters with a 6-0 win, to capture the Round 2 4-1. "We're rolling now," said Derek Countryman, who was named series MVP. "The pitchers are pitching, hitters are hitting, look out. I expect us to pick our game up to another level in the Round 3." The standout offensive performance from Countryman included a .400 batting average, .591 on-base percentage, 3 home runs, 5 RBI and 4 runs scored. The Wildwood Waves don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Granville Greyhounds - Crab Apple Sluggers series. Crab Apple leads the series 3 games to 2.
