Waves Move on to Round 2 Friday, August 23rd , 2075 The Wildwood Waves are one step closer to the Round 3. The club prevailed 8-7 at Gemstones Ballpark tonight to eliminate the Minneapolis Mud Hens and advance to the Round 2. The Waves won the series by a 3-1 margin, with catcher and series MVP Fernando Gómez leading the way. "I'm proud of all the guys," Gómez said. "This was a team effort, not just me." The Wildwood Waves don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Tulsa Dust Devils - Hell HellFire series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece.
