ATL's #1 Player, Shoemaker of Summit County Monday, August 4th , 2064 23-year-old Brian Shoemaker made a few Summit County headlines during this past week as the rookie second baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Atlantic League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 20 at-bats to put up a .600 average. Shoemaker collected no home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 3 runs. In 104 games this year Shoemaker has posted a .324 average and put up these numbers: 3 home runs, 64 RBIs and 61 runs scored. |
