Zhi-jun Rao of the Jasper Mom & Pops had a fine season this year and today he accepted the AA Diamond Hitter Award for 2070.

The 24-year-old third baseman put up a .262 average and a .357 on-base percentage, piling up 102 hits, 25 doubles, no triples, 36 home runs, 87 RBIs and 72 runs scored.

He received 19 first place votes out of a possible 28. Tony Mora of the Minneapolis Mud Hens finished second in voting, while Tom Quinn of the St. Augustine Crusade finished third.
