Greensboro Sweeps into the Round 2 Saturday, August 24th , 2075 Bernardo Reyes said he expected the Round 1 to be "a battle from start to finish." In the end, it was nothing more than a minor skirmish, as the Greensboro Gappers encountered little resistance in sweeping the Woodmere Starfires, to advance to the Round 2. "It may have been a sweep, but it still was a tough series," said Reyes. Greensboro won the final game by a 19-4 count and were led in the series by Reyes, who was named MVP. On the series, he hit .455 with 3 home runs. He also drove in 9 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Greensboro Gappers will play against the Saint Paul Rovers in the next round.
