Waves Advance to Round 2 Tuesday, August 26th , 2070 The Wildwood Waves are heading to the Round 2, having narrowly defeated the Minneapolis Mud Hens . Wildwood edged Minneapolis in the series 3-2, with a win at Gemstones Ballpark in the clinching game by a 6-4 margin. Neil Ollis turned in a strong offensive performance for the Waves and got series MVP for his efforts. "I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a Round 3 win." It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if Ollis continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance. For the series, he hit .529 with a .529 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, 3 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Wildwood Waves will play against the Lake Champlain Monsters in the next round.
